Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board Delivers Care and Compassion across their Community
Members of the Chilliwack and District Real Estate Board (CADREB) lent a hand in their community during their REALTORS Care® Day, partnering with Ruth and Naomi’s Mission to make a meaningful impact in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Over the course of the previous week, REALTORS® and their clients donated essential items and services they had purchased from the Mission’s online catalogue or in person.
On their REALTORS Care® Day, 15 REALTOR® volunteers gathered at the CADREB office. Volunteers spent the day organizing donations from REALTORS® and their clients, and delivering them to the Mission, helping ensure individuals and families facing hardship receive much-needed support as the colder months set in. The initiative raised approximately $1,500 in cash donations, along with 75 boxes and bags of warm clothing and food.
Ruth and Naomi’s Mission plays an important role in Chilliwack and its surrounding areas by providing shelter, meals, addiction recovery programs, and transitional housing for individuals experiencing homelessness or poverty. The organization’s work focuses on helping people rebuild their lives through compassion, connection, and stability.
“As REALTORS®, we have a strong connection to our community and a platform that allows us to help bring people together to support the place we all call home,” said Brad Latham, Chair of CADREB’s REALTORS Care® Committee and salesperson with RE/MAX Nyda Realty Inc. “When we work together, we can make it easier for people to give back and support those who need it most.”
