BC Northern Real Estate Board Delivers Essentials to Local Seniors in Need
REALTORS® across Northern British Columbia came together for the BC Northern Real Estate Board’s (BCNREB) REALTORS Care® Day on December 3rd, 2025, working in partnership with the Prince George Council of Seniors, Williams Lake and District Seniors Centre, Creekside Seniors Centre, and the Kermode Friendship Society. Volunteers from across the region stepped up to provide essential goods and hands-on support for local seniors who rely on community assistance to stay in their homes.

Thirty REALTOR® volunteers spent the day distributing their donations of non-perishable food items, warm clothing, blankets, toiletries and other daily necessities for seniors in need. Volunteers coordinated the delivery of donations to partner organizations across the region in preparation for winter. Their efforts helped address urgent challenges to food security, warmth, and daily comfort; and to make a meaningful difference in the recipient’s ability to live safely and independently at home.
Each partner organization plays a vital role in supporting senior well-being in Northern British Columbia:
- The Prince George Council of Seniors offers a Seniors Housing Navigator to help older adults access housing-related resources and information, and its Better at Home program supports seniors with non-medical services that help them remain independent in their own homes.
- The Williams Lake and District Seniors Centre also delivers a Better at Home program, assisting seniors with daily tasks like housekeeping, grocery shopping, and transportation so they can continue living safely and comfortably at home.
- The Creekside Seniors Centre offers recreational, wellness, and support services that strengthen community connections for seniors.
- The Kermode Friendship Society serves Indigenous and non-Indigenous seniors with culturally grounded programming, meals and essential services.
Together, these organizations help to ensure seniors in Northern British Columbia have access to the resources, dignity, and community support. Through their volunteerism, REALTORS® across Northern British Columbia once again demonstrated their ongoing commitment to strengthening the communities where they live and work.
